Welcome to Moanalua High School's College & Career Center

The goal of the Moanalua High School College & Career Center is to provide our students with the necessary tools and information to carry out their post-secondary education and/or career goals. We are looking forward to getting to know you and excited to be assisting you through the college and career planning process. We value the unique skills and strengths of each student and will work individually with you to create a plan that celebrates your individual goals and gifts.

The college planning process is a partnership between students, parents, and the college counselor. Clear and honest communication is the key and we encourage parental input that empowers students to take ownership of the college and career planning process. The college counselor is eager to form supportive relationships with families and will be available for individual meetings upon request.

Students that find the greatest success in the college and career planning process are those who stay true to their abilities, passions, and interests and therefore are able to create a post-secondary plan that “best fits” them. A few key points to remember are:

Communication is key. It is of utmost importance that the student, family, and college counselor collaborate with each other through clear communication to ensure a smooth college search and application process.

You are in control of your future. Students should understand that finding the college or career that “best fits” them is in their hands. Extensive research about colleges and the application process is necessary. Students are responsible for meeting all deadlines submitting all application materials on time.

Be yourself! The college planning process is about you, the student. “College is a not a prize to be won, but rather a match to be made.”

Thank you for visiting!
